  • Cookery club

    Lead by Andy Wilkes, an ex-Army chef with over 20 years experience, Mint lane Cookery School aims to empower its students with fundamental abilities including -

    1. Basic knife handling and kitchen hygiene

    2. Batch cooking, cooking on a budget and utilising things like microwaves and slow cookers.

    3. Safe freezing and storage of food

    4. Making food last and utilising food waste.

    5. A social group event that also uses the session to engage, support and build a sense of community/comradery.

    6. A space to sit and eat and share together under a supportive and relaxed tutor lead session.

  • Condiment club

    Every third Tuesday 4-7pm – FREE – We’re Jammin’ Condiment Club – hosted by Aimee from Slow Circular Earth, this club bring people together to chop and chat, repurposing any further wasted produce from the shop and cafe into jams, chutneys and pickles. Members can purchase a condiment subscription and receive monthly jars.

  • Gardening club

    Every Friday 10am-12pm – FREE – Mint Lane Gardening Club – Join us on Fridays to help renovate our garden. We aim to build a sociable outdoor space and to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs for use in the cafe and surplus shop. We are using permaculture principles in our design and use of the space in order to be as ecologically friendly as possible whilst maximising our growing space and making use of any and all waste.
